Job Description
The Forum for Sustainability through Life Cycle Innovation e.V. is seeking a Green Building Life Cycle Assessment Intern in Ohio. The role involves creating Type III EPDs, supporting life cycle assessment tools, and data collection for building certification systems. Candidates should have a background in civil or industrial engineering, knowledge of life cycle assessments, and proficiency in relevant software. This internship offers practical experience in sustainable construction.

We place particular emphasis on sustainable development and implement future-oriented energy management and applied environmental protection in our production and on construction sites worldwide.Your strong profile:Studies in civil engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable fieldBasic knowledge of product and company life cycle assessment as well as European standards for life cycle assessmentIdeally, you have specialist knowledge and experience in life cycle assessment of buildings or product life cycle assessments, as well as experience with life cycle assessment software (LCA FE, Simapro or similar) or programming (JavaScript/Python).Understanding product life cycle assessments and bills of materialsKnowledge of common MS applications and fluent English skills, both written and spoken.Technical understanding of construction products and processesTeamwork skills, communication skills and ideally German language skillsYour new challenges:You will be involved in the creation of Type III EPDs according to EN 15804 and in data collection for Scope 1 2 3 reporting.You will support the development of an automated tool for life cycle assessment at the product and company level.You actively participate in data collection for Lindner products, support software modeling, and create project reports.You are developing a life cycle assessment concept at the building level.You condense complex production processes and represent them visually.You are responsible for the preparation, knowledge transfer and support of building certification systems within the Lindner Group.Your benefitsPractical experience in a future-oriented environment (sustainable construction projects, digital transformation)An opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge in practice and gain valuable experience.Mentoring and personal supportModern work environment Attractive compensationWorking in a motivated and experienced team that promotes your personal and professional developmentAll genders welcome#J-18808-Ljbffr
