Job Description
Agrimax Group is seeking a Fertilizers and Pesticides Specialist in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The role involves developing and optimizing formulations, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting quality control, and collaborating with production teams. Candidates should have a Master's or PhD in Agricultural Science and experience in formulation development. The position requires both laboratory and manufacturing work, with responsibilities including training farmers and monitoring field conditions.
Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Fertilizers and Pesticides Formulation Specialist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and optimizing formulations for fertilizers and pesticides, ensuring efficacy, safety, and compliance with industry standards. Additionally, the candidate should have a thorough understanding of the licensing procedures for fertilizers and pesticides, ensuring regulatory compliance and smooth product registration.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulation Development: Design and develop new formulations for fertilizers and pesticides based on agricultural needs and market demands.
Conduct stability and compatibility tests to evaluate the performance of formulations.
Ingredient Selection: Research and select raw materials and active ingredients, considering their efficacy, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
Quality Control:Implement quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet required specifications and regulatory standards. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct tests and analyses of raw materials and finished products.
Process Optimization:Work closely with production teams to optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Product Development:Collaborate with agronomists and product development teams to formulate effective fertilizers and pesticides.Evaluate the efficacy and safety of new products through field trials.
Training and Education:Conduct workshops and training sessions for farmers on best practices for fertilizer and pesticide use.Create educational materials and resources to promote sustainable agricultural practices.
Field Monitoring: Monitor field conditions and pest populations to determine the need for pesticide applications.
Assess the impact of fertilizers and pesticides on crop yield and environmental. Troubleshoot formulation issues and make necessary adjustments to improve product performance.
Regulatory Compliance:Ensure all formulations comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding safety and environmental impact.Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory submissions and product registrations.
Documentation and Reporting:Maintain detailed records of formulation processes, test results, and product specifications.Prepare reports and presentations on formulation performance and project status.
Qualifications:
Master or PhD degree in Agricultural Science ( Agronomy and Soil science & Agricultural chemistry) from ICAR institutes.
Proven experience in formulation development for fertilizers and/or pesticides.
Strong understanding of chemical properties, agricultural practices, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in laboratory techniques and analytical methods.
Preferred Skills:
• Minimum 2 years work experience in Fertilizers or pesticides Factory
Experience with formulation software and data analysis tools.
Familiarity with sustainable and organic formulation practices.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Work Environment: This role involves both laboratory and manufacturing environments, requiring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
