Secure Energy is seeking a Facility Operator for its Keene, ND location. The role involves day-to-day operations of waste treatment, oil treatment, and water injection, emphasizing safety and customer service. Responsibilities include managing facility operations, truck unloading, oil treating, and ensuring compliance with safety programs. The position requires a high school diploma and relevant operational experience. It operates on a 12-hour shift schedule, alternating days and nights.

The Facility Operator position is responsible for the day-to-day safe and customer service-oriented operations of waste treatment, oil treatment and water injection. The Operator will actively assist with standard operating procedures, hazard assessments, safety programs and environment protection. The Operator will be in constant contact with customers and must demonstrate excellent communications skills and a high level of customer service.

This position is a 12-hour shift with 7 days on and 7 days off, alternating between days and nights located at our Keene Full-Service Terminal.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
• Responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operation of the facility
• Responsible for truck unloading, oil emulsion and water & vac trucks
• Responsible for oil treating with the treater, cooler or tank treating
• Participating in waste processing, waste and mud tank operation, shaker & centrifuge operations and solids treating
• Responsible and accountable for the receipt, terminal storage and transportation of crude oil while adhering to Measurement & Crude Oil Quality compliance
• Managing ongoing water injection, filter changing and pump maintenance
• Conducting treatment of solids on the waste pad
• Conducting boiler operations, testing and steam system operations
• Ensuring that all corporate compliance programs are adhered to
• Submitting truck tickets summary, daily plant checklists, and balance and transfers to the office
• Participates in the Health & Safety Management System (HSMS)
• Waste plant operation (ensuring solids processing is meeting or exceeding landfill criteria and solids testing)
• Following water injection SOP’s and best practices to protect the disposal well integrity
• General maintenance, ensure that the plant is kept clean and safe

The successful candidate will have:
• A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent
• Having a minimum of 3 years of operational experience in waste processing, oil treating, or water injection is considered an asset.
• Considered a strong asset, midstream terminal operations experience is highly valued.
• Considered a strong asset, specialty training in boilers, treaters, pumps (all), repairs, shaker/centrifuge, and loader is highly valued.
• Experience with various plant processes, including safety operations, oil treating and blending, waste processing, and water disposal, is beneficial
• Current and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, Confined Space Entry, WHMIS and TDG
• A strong attention to detail, communication skills with the ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environment
• Must be able to document their work, perform and manage cross shift communication and ensure strategic communication with multiple stakeholders
• Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate excellent decision-making skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and safe work practices
• A valid and acceptable Driver’s license and successful completion of Pre-employment testing
