Denali Water Solutions is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Equipment Operator to support daily operations involving compost, mulch, and topsoil production. This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently while assisting with material handling, loading operations, and landfill transportation activities.


The ideal candidate will have experience operating front-end wheel loaders and other production equipment in an outdoor industrial environment. This role also requires a valid CDL to operate company vehicles. This equipment operator position will also utilize a commercial vehicle to transport roll-off containers to landfills and dump trucks to transport product to customer locations.


This position is safety-sensitive and requires a clear mind and diligence. Employees are responsible for their own safety as well as the safety of others.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Safely inspect, operate, and maintain front-end wheel loaders and other production equipment Operate screening machines used in compost, mulch, and topsoil production Load tractor trailers and other hauling equipment with finished materials Drive company CDL vehicles to transport trash compactors to landfill locations several times per week Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or repair needs promptly Maintain cleanliness of equipment and production areas Follow all DOT, OSHA, company safety policies, and environmental regulations Assist with site operations, material movement, and production support tasks as needed Work closely with operations and production teams to maintain workflow efficiency Attend safety meetings, trainings, and operational briefings Minimum Qualifications
Valid CDL License required - (Class B) Experience operating front-end wheel loaders required Ability to safely operate heavy equipment in an industrial or outdoor environment Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check Clean driving record preferred Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment inspection knowledge Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to safety and operational detail Basic communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating screening machines or similar processing equipment Experience in compost, mulch, landfill, construction, recycling, or agricultural operations Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Familiarity with DOT regulations and equipment safety procedures Physical Requirements
Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, or move up to 5070 pounds Frequent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching Ability to sit and operate heavy equipment for extended periods Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to work around dust, odors, mud, noise, and uneven terrain What we offer:
