Job Description

ECS Group of Companies is seeking an Environmental Technician in Cleveland, OH. Responsibilities include field sampling of soil, water, and air, documenting observations, and writing daily reports. The role requires communication with contractors and project managers, along with some office tasks. Candidates should have 0-5 years of experience, ideally with OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training. The position is full-time and offers benefits like paid time off and health insurance.
• Primary duties include field sampling of soil, water, air and other materials while working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, within indoor environments, and on construction sites
• Perform observation and documentation of field activities, either self-performed or by others, and documenting observations
• This includes writing clear and concise daily field reports detailing site activities
• You are expected to display the ability to use field screening equipment and document readings appropriately. Daily communication is required with site contractors, other technicians and project managers.
• Incidental duties include office clerical tasks, report production assistance and other office related tasks
• The performance of these responsibilities may require the use of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to: hard hats, safety glasses, respirators, steel toe boots and/or protective clothing
• 0 - 5 years related experience
• OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER training would go a long way
• Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - Mileage will be reimbursed
