About the Role

This critical role oversees the development and implementation of environmental health and safety strategies, policies, and procedures across New Jersey Institute of Technology's campus. You will work closely with leadership, faculty, and students to ensure a safe and compliant environment, advising on emerging regulations and mitigating risks through inspections, audits, and education initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement EHS strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure regulatory permitting and compliance, monitoring program effectiveness.
• Oversee environmental investigations related to building operations, demolition, and construction.
• Supervise staff, consultants, and student workers, managing department operations.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, health and safety, industrial hygiene or related field.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Environmental Health and Safety administration, hazardous materials response, and occupational risk management.
• Minimum 5 years in a managerial position with direct oversight of subordinate staff.
