Job Description

The University of Utah Health is seeking a Building Systems Operator responsible for monitoring building automation systems, responding to alarms, troubleshooting HVAC and plumbing issues, and documenting system problems. The role involves timely decision-making and communication with administration and trades staff. This is a full-time position based in Salt Lake City, UT.
Responsibilities

As a Building Systems Operator at the University of Utah Health, your responsibilities will include:
• Monitoring all building automation systems, other alarms, and trouble calls.
• Responding to trouble calls from building occupants and computer alarms in a timely and professional manner.
• Assessing damage or situations and making timely decisions regarding the best course of action.
• Repairing and troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical building equipment issues in a timely manner.
• Reviewing alarm summaries and making adjustments to the Building Automation Systems in a timely manner.
• Regularly documenting and communicating daily building system problems.
• Advising administration/trades staff of situations that may affect normal operations in a timely manner.
• Taking daily readings of major equipment and documenting/inspecting for irregularities.
