Job Description

Skanska is seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Advisor in London to support its Building Services team. The role involves delivering environmental strategies, certifications, and training, while conducting audits and providing guidance on environmental policies. Candidates should have relevant experience in environmental disciplines and knowledge of carbon assessment methods. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Environmental and Sustainability Advisor to join our Building Services team in London. This role will support Skanska UK in its aspiration to be seen as the leading green contractor and developer, by delivering on environmental strategies, objectives and targets.

What you'll do:
• Support the delivery of Carbon/BREEAM/WELL/LEED/NABERS certifications on projects including the assimilation of monthly data
• Provide guidance, advice and steer on environmental policy and legislation, environmental and carbon strategy, and customer requirements
• Conduct regular sites and subcontractors’ environmental checks, inspections and audits
• Deliver environmental training courses, toolbox talks (TBTs) and briefing sessions to internal and external parties in line with Skanska requirements
• Support the delivery of projects’ carbon requirements through calculations and reduction opportunities. This will involve interaction with digital systems and tools to calculate and communicate carbon plans

What you'll bring to the role:
• Degree level and/or relevant experience in appropriate environmental discipline
• Understanding of the Building Services section including MEP and/or construction sector
• Knowledge and experience of collating, monitoring and reporting environmental and carbon data
• Experience / competence in embodied carbon assessment methods, reporting standards and guidance, and their applicability across the Built sector, including the RICS Whole Life Carbon approach
