ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Fieldwork such as environmental site assessments, indoor air, soil, soil vapor, surface water, and groundwater sampling and contractor oversight, aquifer testing, geophysical investigations, and remediation system OAssist in the development of site health and safety documents and abide by the same health and safety requirements when working in the field;Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation;Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, and implementation;Aquifer testing and hydrogeologic data analyses;Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting;Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures; andPreparation of technical reports including Phase I’s, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

Bachelor s degree in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (required)Advanced degree in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, or environmental engineering. (preferred)Ability and interest to obtain professional licensure in the State of California (Professional Geologist or Engineer). (preferred)SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)Prior research experience in environmental sciences, geology, civil engineering, or another relevant engineering field.Permitting experiencePhase I experienceCompliance experience (Stormwater, Hazardous waste, etc.)Approximately 2-5 years of related experienceExcellent writing and communication skills. (required)Ability to travel overnight on a limited basisCurrent OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)Valid U.S. driver s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
