Job Description

The University of Vermont Health Network is hiring an Environmental Services Worker III for evening shifts in Colchester, VT. Responsibilities include cleaning facility areas, waste management, and supporting training for new hires. Candidates should complete orientation training within three months and may pursue additional certification. Previous experience as an EVS Worker II is required. This is a full-time position with no specific degree requirements.
JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Environmental Services Worker III is responsible for the cleaning of all areas of the facility, to include waste packaging, and shipment. The Environmental Services Worker III has knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to chemical efficacy testing, and documentation, and may collaborate with the Department Training Coordinator to provide support with training, and education. The Environmental Services worker III may also act as a preceptor, supporting new hires with onboarding, and career growth.

EDUCATION:
• Satisfactory completion of Environmental Services Orientation Training Program within three months after hire. May obtain Cleaning Management Institute Basic in one year from date of hire.

EXPERIENCE:
• Has demonstrated the skills and knowledge to be successful in the EVS Worker II role. Meets the physical demands of the job, as evaluated by functional screening.
