Environmental Services Supervisor - Evenings

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor for evening shifts at Porter Medical Center in Middlebury, VT. The role involves supervising housekeeping activities, ensuring safety and sanitation, and maintaining compliance with regulations. Candidates should have at least three years of experience in institutional housekeeping and supervisory skills. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for external hires with a one-year commitment.
The Environmental Services team at Porter Medical Center is hiring a Supervisor to join their leadership team! This position will cover evening shift.

Please note: External hires for this position are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus with 1-year employment commitment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Environmental Service Supervisor has the primary responsibility for supervising housekeeping activities. He/She is responsible for insuring safety and sanitation throughout the facility. Maintaining quality control functions and compliance with Town, State and OSHA Federal Register Rules and Regulations, Porter Medical Center Infection Control policies and procedures, and Housekeeping, Laundry Department policies and procedures. He/She is expected to work collaboratively with department manager, support staff and other department employees as required.

EDUCATION

High graduate or GED.

EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of institutional housekeeping techniques with at least three years of experience, supervisory experience preferred.

Knowledge of housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies.
Ability to maintain accurate record-keeping and documentation.
Ability to maintain confidentially and good public relations.
Demostrates ability to provide clear expectations to department personnel.
Displays professional appearance and attitude.
Ability to work with management members
