Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center located in Los Angeles is a non-profit organization that provides an array of comprehensive mental health services for Children, Adolescents, Transitional Aged Youth, and Adults suffering from mental illness in the Greater Los Angeles area. The organization consists of a standalone fifty-five (55) bed inpatient hospital and six outlying outpatient facilities that have anywhere from fourteen (14) beds to one hundred and thirty-four (134) beds. The organization has approximately four hundred (400) employees.

The responsibility of the Environmental Services Tech is to provide a clean, safe, and friendly environment for patients, visitors, and associates by providing housekeeping services. The Environmental Services Tech is responsible for cleaning tasks in inpatient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, clinic areas, and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department.

Minimum Experience Required
• One (1) year of successful work experience.

Minimum Education Required
• Some formal education is sufficient to have reading and writing skills.

Essential Skills
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing
• Experience in laundry
• Operate and maintain selected equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals
• Demonstrate a commitment to service, organization values, and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times

• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and interact effectively with physicians, patients residents, visitors, and staff

Physical Strength
