Environmental Services Tech

Boone County Hospital seeks a full-time Environmental Services Technician to maintain cleanliness in the hospital. The role involves cleaning patient rooms, public areas, and clinics, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, including one weekend per month. Status: Full Time, 36-40 Hours/Week

Shift: Days

Shift Time Schedule: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Days: Monday-Friday, 1 weekend/month

Salary Scale: $17.00-$20.00. Depending on Experience.

Position Summary

Environmental Services Technicians are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Hospital.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
• Working knowledge of basic housekeeping and cleaning procedures
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions
• Education/Certifications/Licenses N/A
• Ability to integrate age-appropriate specific needs of the patient and visitor
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees

Essential Functions
• Empty Trash
• Cleaning of patient rooms thoroughly by mopping floors, washing beds, cleaning and washing all furniture and cleaning and washing all bathroom fixtures.
• Cleaning of all public areas and Bathrooms
• Cleaning of all Clinics, Lab, Xray, Surgical areas and Kitchen Reporting repairs needed to Supervisor

Physical Activity Requirements
• Lifting up to 35 pounds frequently
• Push/Pull up to 25 lbs of horizontal push/pull force at 45 degree angle
• Reaching occasionally above shoulder height
• Squatting occasionally
• Walking continuously
• Occasional stair climbing
