LimnoTech seeks an early career professional to support technical project work with a high focus on water stewardship and sustainability. In addition to supporting our water stewardship practice area, the successful candidate will also support projects in LimnoTech’s other service areas that may include watershed assessments and modeling, stormwater management, and ecosystem restoration assessment.

Position Responsibilities :
The selected candidate will work closely with other team members to support a variety of project work. The candidate will be based in one of LimnoTech's primary office locations (Ann Arbor, Los Angeles, Oakdale, or DC). Project work may include:

Primary responsibilities:
• Corporate sustainability program tracking, reporting, and disclosure
• Corporate water stewardship project benefit quantification
• Water risk assessment
• Synthesis and presentation of technical information
• Data analytics and database management

Potential secondary responsibilities may include support for a variety of projects such as:
• Water quality modeling and watershed assessments
• Hydraulic/hydrologic evaluations
• Contaminant fate and transport
• Watershed, stream, and lake restoration assessment, planning, and design
• Stormwater management, planning, and design
• Ecosystem restoration assessment and design

Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science/engineering, data analytics or a related scientific discipline from an accredited university program is required. Master’s level or higher degree in science or environmental engineering is preferred. A cross-disciplinary degree with added focus in business, accounting, and/or corporate sustainability would be valuable.
• Educational and/or professional background in hydrology/water quality/biology/watershed assessment and/or modeling.
• Strong analytical and computational abilities (MS Excel, Google Sheets, and Python and/or R)
• Excellent communications skills (verbal, written), effective at synthesis of technical information to a broad audience.
• Attentive to detail in completing routine and repetitive tasks, ensuring precision and accuracy when reviewing and processing data or documents.

Desirable Additional Qualifications:
Having one or more of these would be beneficial, but is not required:
• Experience in environmental / water resources consulting, corporate, or research fields
• Experience with corporate sustainability and water stewardship
• Experience in relational database management
• Experience with carbon and/or biodiversity-focused sustainability
• Experience with corporate water stewardship frameworks, e.g. Volumetric Water Benefit Accounting (VWBA), Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) Standard, CDP Water Security, Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI), European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), and/or Science-Based Targets for Nature (SBTN)
• Coursework or experience in environmental economics
• Basic GIS skills

The salary for this position will be determined based on the candidate’s years and type of experience, degrees earned, office location, and fit with job requirements, and is expected to range between $60,000 and $120,000 annually.
