Job Description
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is hiring an Environmental Protection Specialist in Minneapolis, MN. The role involves planning and authoring environmental compliance guidance under NEPA and the Toxic Substances Control Act, and advising senior leadership on compliance issues. Candidates must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 level. This position is full-time and does not require a degree.
This position is located at Department of Housing and Urban Development , Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes . Duties As a/an Environmental Protection Specialist , you will: Requirements You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Planning, implementing, or authoring environmental compliance guidance and regulations for projects under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 (83 Stat. 852) [42 U.S.C. 4321]; Planning, implementing, or authoring environmental compliance guidance and regulations for projects under the Toxic Substances Control Act; Advising senior leadership on environmental protection and compliance issues. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector, or volunteer service . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
