Lilly is excited to be developing a new state-of-the-art Parenteral, Device, and Packaging Assembly Facility in Concord, North Carolina. Position Overview:

The Environmental Monitoring Technician will play a critical role in supporting Parenteral Operations by conducting environmental monitoring of classified manufacturing areas and performing utility sampling and analysis within the facility and QC Laboratory. This position includes training and mentoring fellow technicians and collaborating on routine environmental monitoring and sampling efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with all cGMP procedures, Quality Systems, and Good Documentation Practices.
• Perform environmental monitoring of classified manufacturing areas to maintain quality standards.
• Conduct utility sampling and analyses within Parenteral Operations and QC Laboratory buildings.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of other QC Environmental Monitoring Technicians.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and departmental projects.
• Help author and update Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Promote adherence to all safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree is preferred.

Experience:
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Environmental Monitoring within a GMP Pharmaceutical Manufacturing facility, ideally in aseptic production.
• Proficient in environmental monitoring techniques such as viable surface monitoring, air monitoring, and water collection and analysis.
• Familiarity with Laboratory IT systems including LIMs, LES, and MODA.

Additional Preferences:
• Strong knowledge of cGMP requirements and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of conducting training and mentorship.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work safely in a lab environment, adhering to PPE guidelines.
• Ability to gown into cleanroom attire as necessary for the role.

Additional Information:
• This role will transition from project support to routine support as the facility develops.
• Responsibilities may involve repetitive motions and standing or walking for extended periods.
• Candidates should be able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform associated physical tasks.
• Position requires working 12-hour night shifts with a flexible schedule for initial training phases.
• Travel may be necessary during the project phase for implementation training of the Environmental Monitoring Program.
