Job SummaryThe Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist will play a key role in supporting and improving Environmental, Health & Safety programs across a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This position partners closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Human Resources to ensure regulatory compliance, minimize workplace risks, promote environmental stewardship, and foster a proactive safety culture.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on manufacturing EHS experience, strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, and a passion for driving continuous safety improvements.

Key ResponsibilitiesImplement, maintain, and continuously improve Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs across manufacturing operations.Conduct routine safety inspections, compliance audits, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations to identify potential workplace hazards.Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA), ergonomic assessments, and operational risk assessments while recommending corrective and preventive measures.Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.Develop, implement, and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurring safety issues.Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and all applicable federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.Maintain EHS documentation, regulatory records, permits, licenses, training records, and compliance reports.Track and analyze key EHS performance metrics, including TRIR, Lost Time Incidents, Near Misses, Safety Observations, and other safety KPIs.Coordinate and deliver EHS orientation, employee training, contractor safety programs, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.Support internal audits, customer audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance assessments.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and HR to drive a culture of safety and operational excellence.Participate in sustainability initiatives, waste reduction programs, and environmental improvement projects.Promote employee engagement by encouraging proactive hazard reporting and continuous safety improvement initiatives.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.2–5 years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing, industrial, production, or warehouse environment.Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.Experience conducting safety audits, workplace inspections, hazard identification, and compliance assessments.Hands-on experience investigating incidents, performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and managing CAPA activities.Experience with Job Safety Analysis (JSA), risk assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and safety improvement initiatives.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.Preferred QualificationsAssociate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence initiatives.Experience in FDA-regulated, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or highly regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.Required SkillsEnvironmental Health & Safety (EHS)OSHA & EPA ComplianceISO 14001 & ISO 45001Workplace Safety ProgramsManufacturing SafetySafety Audits & InspectionsIncident InvestigationRoot Cause Analysis (RCA)Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)Job Safety Analysis (JSA)Risk AssessmentErgonomic EvaluationsHazard IdentificationRegulatory ComplianceEnvironmental ManagementWaste ManagementSustainability ProgramsSafety TrainingEmergency Response PlanningSafety Metrics & KPI ReportingCross-Functional CollaborationContinuous ImprovementIf you are interested, please share your updated resume along with your contact details, work authorization, availability, and expected compensation.
