Environmental Forestry Opportunities

At Independent Stave Company, we are committed to sustainable forestry practices and are seeking a highly skilled Forester to join our team. As a key member of our forestry division, the ideal candidate will have a passion for forestry and be well-versed in forest management practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing forest management plans, conducting forest inventories and assessments, and monitoring forest health. They will also work closely with landowners to apply and maintain conservation practices and supervise and train forestry staff. Additionally, they will collaborate with other professionals such as wildlife biologists and land managers to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and manage budgets and resources effectively.

Key Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Forestry or a related field
• Strong knowledge of forest management practices
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with GIS and other forestry software
