Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

DS Containers - Batavia, IL

DS Containers is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety, environmental and compliance initiatives across our two Batavia manufacturing facilities. This position plays a critical leadership role in maintaining regulatory compliance, strengthening our safety culture, reducing risk, and ensuring all employees return home safely every day.




What You'll Do

Lead and continuously improve environmental, health and safety programs across two manufacturing facilities.Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, workers' compensation, and other applicable regulations.Conduct safety observations, coaching, investigations, audits, and risk assessments.Manage injury reporting, workers' compensation claims, return-to-work activities, and incident investigations.Develop and deliver EHS training programs.Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Leadership teams.Maintain EHS documentation, records, policies, procedures, and compliance programs.Support customer, internal, and third-party audits.Supervise and develop EHS personnel.Drive a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field, or equivalent experience.10+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.Previous leadership experience with direct reports.Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation, incident investigations, and safety management systems.Experience developing and implementing EHS programs and training.Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.Ability to spend significant time on the production floor and walk multiple facilities daily.What We Offer
