Vanasse Hangen Brustlin is hiring an Entry Level Environmental Planner to support environmental review documentation and public outreach. About the position

VHB is seeking an Environmental Planner to join our Williamsburg, Virginia office. VHB is seeking a professional who has interest and potentially experience in preparing environmental review documentation in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, and other environmental studies. Responsibilities
• Prepare, review, and edit environmental reports, memoranda, and other project documentation such as meeting notes.

• Support public outreach, including creating informative and engaging project visuals, and coordinate with clients.

• Work with a team of planners, landscape architects, and engineers on NEPA and similar environmental and cultural reviews.
,
• Collaborate with colleagues throughout VHB's multidisciplinary practice, particularly with VHB environmental planning team.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant environmental or cultural discipline (environmental science, biology, wildlife management, historic preservation, archeology, or related disciplines)
,
• 0-1+ years of planning experience, whether through coursework or professional experience
,
• Basic knowledge of environmental regulations, including NEPA, environmental justice and Title VI, Section 4(f), Endangered Species Act, Clean Water Act, and Section 106, a plus
,
• Writing samples required
,
• Valid driver's license

Nice-to-haves
• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience with Adobe products (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus.

• Ability to travel (site visits will require driving and/or air travel)
