We are looking to hire an Engagement Manager, Sustainability in a Hybrid (50/50) capacity at our Global Headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

As part of the Global Sustainability team, the Engagement Manager will drive our internal and external engagement strategy on sustainability and champion our purpose led culture. The individual in this position will work collaboratively across the enterprise to identify how McCormick can be best positioned to seize business opportunities that can amplify its Purpose-led Performance (PLP) imperatives and strengthen our reputation as a Global Sustainability Leader. This individual will help evaluate the needs, preferences, and behaviors of the target stakeholders and develop a tailored and meaningful approach to engage them with the right message at the right time.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage Global Requisition Process for Sustainability/ESG related requests to maintain McCormick’s Corporate Reputation as a sustainability leader. Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to: completing customer sustainability surveys in a timely manner; identifying opportunities to optimize and automate/standardize the process; maintaining FAQ for sustainability/ESG topics; and maximizing use of customer-facing sustainability data portals.Implement sustainability engagement strategy to grow our external reputation as a sustainable company. Strategy implementation includes developing a tailored, meaningful approach and the associated assets to engage key stakeholders with the right message at the right time.Lead external assessment of sustainability trends, activation practices, and stakeholder needs to uncover opportunities for McCormick to amplify its Purpose-led Performance (PLP) imperatives. Individual in this role will be expected to keep a pulse in the industry and McCormick’s peers to identify and adopt best in class engagement practices and opportunities.Create and maintain a library of compelling Purpose Led Performance assets to engage key stakeholder groups that help expand the impact of our PLP initiatives (e.g. sustainability playbook for Sales Teams). Responsibilities include collaborating with Corporate Communications and across various cross functional teams to identify and source the content/stories needed to develop the assets.Support the Corporate Sustainability team in key presentations to engage internal and external stakeholders.QualificationsBA/BS in Business Analytics, Sustainability, Marketing or relevant discipline3-5 years of professional experience in engagement and/or marketing role. Customer facing experience preferred.Strong data management skills with demonstrated ability to solve problems and identify and communicate patterns/trends based on complex dataPrior experience engaging various stakeholders, in particular developing meaningful sustainability content and collaborating across various stakeholder groups to create the content.Demonstrated experience managing fast-paced work and prioritizing a high volume of workMastery of PowerPoint, Excel and other data management tools (e.g. Power BI)Understanding and awareness of sustainability programs for a company in the food and beverage industry preferredAbility to work globally considering the regional differences in cultures and work practices.History of effectively coordinating conflicting priorities in a fast-paced work environment.Experience in creating and/or optimizing a process to drive efficiencies of scaleAbility to work cross-functionally and coordinate multiple workstreams toward a common objective.Excellent oral and written communication skillsRecord of achievement in using effective influence and communication skills with individuals at all levels and functionsProficient in more than one language (desired)As a general policy, McCormick does not offer employment visa sponsorships upon hire or in the future.

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
