Our client is seeking a dedicated and analytical Energy Systems Analyst to join their team in Des Moines, Iowa, US . This role is pivotal in assessing, planning, and optimizing energy consumption and production strategies for our diverse operations. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities for energy efficiency, renewable energy integration, and cost reduction, contributing to our sustainability goals and operational resilience.

Key responsibilities include analyzing energy usage data across various facilities, identifying trends, and developing models to forecast energy demand. You will research and evaluate emerging energy technologies and policies, providing recommendations for their adoption. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy), Environmental Science, or a related quantitative field. Proven experience in energy management, energy auditing, or energy systems analysis within an industrial or commercial setting is required. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, Python, or specialized energy modeling software, are essential.

You will collaborate with facility managers, engineers, and external stakeholders to implement energy conservation measures and renewable energy projects. The ability to understand complex energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and sustainability reporting standards is a significant advantage. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required to convey findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. This role involves site visits to assess energy infrastructure and opportunities for improvement.
