Bernhard LLC is seeking a full-time Energy Systems Analyst in Little Rock, AR. The role involves assessing mechanical and electrical systems, conducting site surveys, performing calculations, and preparing project designs. Overview:
The Energy Systems Analyst is responsible for assessing building mechanical and electrical systems while performing technical on-site surveys and in-office analysis on assigned projects. Analysis will include participation in technical studies, investigations, and development of energy-efficient and deferred maintenance scope on assigned projects.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include:
Assists in the production of projects that are on-time, within-budget, and meet the requirements of industry standards & codes and client specifications.
Conducts site surveys to determine existing facility conditions either independently or with senior level staff/project manager. Assists in identifying and preparing energy efficient and deferred maintenance scope.
Performs mechanical system calculations including load calculations, ventilation schedules, etc.
Interacts in meetings with owners, clients, and/or architects as needed either independently or with senior level staff/project manager; prepares meeting notes.
Designs and prepares drawings for mechanical systems for projects including duct and pipe sizing.
Assists the development team in the coordination with other disciplines including energy modeling, financial modeling, lighting, design, etc.
Attends in-house and external training sessions to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areas related to building systems.
Participates in industry organizations and attends events, meetings, and activities.

This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and reports to the Senior Energy Systems Analyst.
Qualifications:
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from a four-year ABET accredited university.
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills and aptitude.
Required experience in Excel and Word.
Ability to communicate effectively with facility managers and engineers.
Ability to work independently to meet deadlines while on survey.
Ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
Ability to use technology and apps for collecting data while on survey.
Passion for quality and client satisfaction.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications
Prefer 1-3 years of energy-related client interface for an engineering design firm.
Preferred experience with building energy services in the health and higher-education field.
Experience with mechanical and electrical design drawings.
Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).
Participation in industry organizations and attends events, meetings, and activities.
Travel Requirements
25-50% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
Climbing stairs.
Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Operating machinery and/or power tools.
Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
Noisy environment.
Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from 20-100 pounds.
