Job Description

SJS Executives LLC is seeking an Energy Engineer for a military facility in Colorado, supporting a 5-year contract with the US Space Force. The role involves reviewing asset inventory, identifying abnormalities, and recommending solutions to enhance energy use and system reliability. Candidates must have a relevant degree and experience, along with a Secret Clearance and Energy Management Certification. The salary ranges from $140,000 to $160,000, with additional benefits.
SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is currently seeking an Energy Engineer supporting operations within a local Military Facility in Colorado for an upcoming 5-year contact with the US Space Force.

SJS is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with 150 employees coast to coast and a headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia; it specializes in professional services to support federal and military organizations.

The pay range for this position will be between $140,000-$160,000 and will be based on experience. Please indicate your requested pay range in the questionnaire. SJS also offers 11 paid federal holidays, 56 hours of sick time accrual, medical, dental, vision, and a variety of additional benefits.

Responsibilities:
• Performs annual review of applicable NexGen-IT or other database information to maintain accurate inventory with assigned Sub-AMP asset. Ensures accurate capitalization of all Sub-AMP assets upon receipt of required documentation.
• Performs semi-annual review of asset inventory with respect to performance date (failures, service calls, man-hours/material cost, energy use, etc.) to detect any abnormalities with respect to the expected lifecycle performance.
• Evaluates and identifies the root cause of the abnormalities.
• Determines the magnitude and impact of the abnormalities on factors such as energy use, system reliability, mission risk, and plant operation cost.
• Recommends the scope and cost alternatives for solution/requirements to remedy root causes of abnormality to mitigate risk and maximize return on investment. Aligns requirement to proper execution methods (Preventative Maintenance, In-Service Work Program, Assets Management Program).

• Coordinates Facility condition inspection Visits ( e.g., Sustainable Infrastructure Assessments [SIA]) and makes available appropriate PR data from assessment to Real Property Office.

Qualifications:
• Must possess or be willing to possess an active Secret Clearance.
• To be considered for this position, the candidate shall have one ofthe following educational and experience levels (Energy Management Certification (such as Certified Energy Manager [CEM]) from the Association of Energy Engineers, or equivalent):
• Minimum of a Master's degree in engineering, architecture, mathematics, or physical sciences substantially relevant to facility and infrastructure type projects from accredited institutions within the 50 United States and a minimum of 3 years of military facility/infrastructure energy related experience are required and have a current CEM Certification Work.
• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, mathematics, or physical sciences substantially relevant to facility and infrastructure type projects from accredited institutions within the 50 United States and 6 years military facility/infrastructure energy related experience and have a current CEM Certification.
• A Bachelor of Science degree from accredited institutions within the 50 United States and a minimum of 10 years' of military facility/infrastructure energy related experience and have a current CEM Certification.
• A minimum of a 2 year technical degree in mechanical or electrical field from accredited institutions within the 50 United States and a minimum of 20 years' military facility/infrastructure experience (ten of which shall be energy related) and have a current CEM Certification.
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation; please note the background check for this position extends past 7 years, in conformance with federal law and US Department of Justice guidelines for work on a military installation.
