Job Description
Planet Forward is seeking a Sustainable Lighting Solutions Expert in Detroit, MI. The role involves designing energy-efficient lighting systems, developing lighting plans, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related fields, 5-7 years of experience, NCQLP LC Certification, and proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office. Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing energy-efficient lighting systems for various environments. This includes:
• Designing energy-efficient lighting systems that meet or exceed client requirements
• Developing lighting plans with circuiting and controls, photometric plans, and fixture schedules
• Ensuring designs comply with local codes, national standards (NEC, NFPA, etc.), and client specifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lighting design principles and the ability to optimize visibility, energy efficiency, and ambiance. They will also be proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office programs and have strong oral and written communication skills.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, lighting design, or related field
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in lighting design, preferably in the A/E industry
• NCQLP LC Certification
• Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office programs
• Strong oral and written communication skills
