Job Description

Placement Services USA, Inc. is seeking an Embodied Carbon Project Manager in Denver, CO, with expertise in green building certifications and carbon emissions quantification. Responsibilities include developing climate action plans, carbon accounting tools, and analyzing sustainability data. Candidates should have 2 years of experience in related fields and proficiency in LCA documentation and software. Telecommuting is allowed from anywhere in the U.S.
Technical knowledge of leading green building certification frameworks such as LEED and ILFI.
Technical knowledge of regional, state, national or international regulations and policies (CALGreen, Buy Clean, RICS).
Quantify the carbon emissions associated with the activities of our diverse clients, ranging from individual building construction to global portfolio operations.
Aide in the development and management of corporate, municipal, and institutional climate action plans, including alignment with WGBC and SBT.
Develop carbon accounting tools and resources to support tracking and calculating impact (baseline, historical, and forecasting).
Collect, track, and analyze data related to all aspects within a sustainability strategy for enterprise-wide environmental impacts, including but not limited to: energy use, water use, waste generation, building construction, structural systems, and transportation.
Develop reports and presentations that verbally and visually communicate environmental impact data analysis and recommendations for improvement.
Provide research support and thought leadership insights on innovative sustainable design, construction, and operational strategies and technologies.
Educate clients and real estate sector partners on the approach to quantify and reduce their embodied carbon footprint via workshops or webinars.
• Telecommuting is permitted from anywhere in the United States.

2 years of experience as a structural engineer, project manager, or related.

2 years demonstrated working knowledge of:
LCA documentation
Autodesk Revit and BIM360 and EC3
Microsoft Excel to analyze large datasets and identify trends
embodied carbon accounting and reporting
LCA projects for multiple clients
Building design
Construction management and materials
M.S. in civil, structural, or environmental engineering, or related field.
