**Position Title**: Environmental Health Safety Manager

**Department**: Quality

**Entity**: CS e STORAGE

**Reports to**: Sr. Director of Quality Product Project EHS

**Location**: Sydney or Melbourne, Australia

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise, support, and assistance in the development, implementation, and monitoring of EHS management systems and project-specific OHS programs.
  • Responsible for emergency response planning, resource conservation, regulatory compliance, and updating EHS policies and plans as required.
  • Conduct EHS audits, inspections, and observations to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal corporate requirements.
  • Support SSES team members in completing ESG and EHS questionnaires for RFPs and contracting needs.
  • Ensure project insurances and policies are implemented effectively.
  • Collaborate with project personnel and contractors to identify solutions for OHS compliance and program gaps.
  • Complete risk assessments, job hazard assessments, and contractor OHS program reviews.
  • Source, develop, and deliver necessary EHS training sessions.
  • Keep up to date on latest EHS and ESG trends in the energy storage industry.
  • Willingness to travel extensively internationally and work flexible hours as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 3-5 years of OHS experience in construction, industrial processing, or related fields.
  • College diploma or university degree in an OHS or related field.
  • Specific EHS knowledge in lithium-ion battery BESS commissioning, high voltage electrical equipment, and construction safety preferred.
