Job Description

St. Joseph's Health Care London is hiring a part-time Transportation Services Driver to safely transport patients from various Mental Health Care programs. Candidates must have a valid Class F Ontario Driver's license, excellent driving skills, and be capable of managing patients with diverse needs. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and engagement in teaching and research activities. Salary ranges from $26.74 to $27.05 per hour.

Salary Range: $26.74 - $27.05 /hour

Transportation Services Driver is a safety-first individual, responsible for the transport of patients from our various Mental Health Care programs. Drivers must be compassionate individuals capable of managing a group of patients of varying ages and physical needs, all while maintaining diligent on-road excellence. The Transportation Driver will be required to ensure the safe and orderly transportation of passengers on assigned routes to and from both our London and St. Thomas facilities; as well as operate the vehicle in a professional manner and in alignment with St. Joseph's mission, vision and values.

Essential Qualifications
• Secondary (High) School Diploma
• Valid Class F Ontario Driver's licence or a licence classification allowing operation of an F Class vehicle
• Thorough knowledge of the Highway Traffic Act and regulations
• Excellent driving skills and safe driving record (candidates will be required to provide a Driving Record)
• Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
• Demonstrated ability to perform general vehicle maintenance
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Excellent physical condition consistent with heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, walking and standing

Teaching and Research
• St. Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St. Joseph's, you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties

Immunization Requirements
• Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
• Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
