Director of Engineering ERCOT – Solar, Wind, BESS

We are seeking a Director of Engineering to play a crucial role in leading engineering efforts across all renewables projects through EPC and project execution cycle. This position will be involved in the full spectrum of electrical design for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, BESS and other emerging technologies at utility-scale.

As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects from concept to completion. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and project professionals, ensuring technical excellence, cost efficiency, and timely execution.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) phases of renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with technical and contractual requirements.
• Manage and coordinate a team of engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality renewable energy solutions.
• Oversee technical design, risk assessment, and project feasibility studies.
• Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate and select vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and performance metrics to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
• Provide technical guidance and problem-solving expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
• Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or a related field).
• Strong technical knowledge of solar, wind, and/or battery storage systems.
• Proven experience managing large-scale renewable energy projects.
• Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
