Location

This position is located at our U.S. headquarters in the heart of Los Angeles. Join top professionals in a collaborative office environment, working on-site five days a week Monday - Friday.

Purpose

Based ideally in California, you will manage new construction projects across all North American sites. As the Construction Project Manager, you will act as the primary liaison between external contractors and internal teams, including - projects, assembly, procurement, warehouse, engineering and human resources.

The role’s primary focus is on resource planning and project management, ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects while working closely with the U.S and Australian based teams and initially reporting directly to the Founder.

Key Responsibilities

In a typical week, you will:
• Develop and manage assembly team schedules, including roster planning to align with project demands.
• Coordinate project resources, tasks and work orders, ensuring alignment with the company’s project management systems and processes.
• Track and report on project timelines, procurement activities, budget status, program progress, key milestones, and potential risks, delivering regular updates to stakeholders.
• Estimate labour requirements based on project timelines and manage temporary labour hire when needed.
• Document project scheduling processes and maintain comprehensive records for reporting and future reference.
• Oversee and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations and standards for all onsite construction activities.
• Ensure all construction works are delivered to meet high-care, food-safe standards, aligning with industry regulations and company requirements.

Qualifications & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in project management, particularly in construction or related industries, is essential.
• Preferred: A bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field.
• Highly valued: Certified Construction Manager (CCM): Offered by the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) or Project Management Professional (PMP): Issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI)
• Familiarity with California Building Codes, Nevada Building Codes, and local construction regulations is crucial for compliance
• Background in building or manufacturing scheduling is desirable.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in project management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven experience reporting on project timelines, changes and risk management to stakeholders.
• Extensive experience with project management applications such as Jira and Gantt Pro to manage workloads and team tasks.
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tools is desirable.
• Strong communication skills to effectively manage cross-functional teams and external contractors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
