Commercial Asset Manager Location: Paris, office based Context: Petroplan is supporting a client in their search for a Commercial Asset Manager to oversee the commercial and administrative management of solar farms in specific geographical regions. This position is crucial for ensuring the non-technical operations of these assets run smoothly while collaborating closely with local teams and external stakeholders. JOB DESCRIPTION The Commercial Asset Manager is responsible for the commercial management of solar power plants, ensuring compliance with local regulations and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. This role also includes financial and contractual oversight of the assigned assets. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAsset Management: Oversee and coordinate the commercial activities of assigned projects.Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate and manage local supply contracts and insurance agreements.Stakeholder Relations: Maintain proactive collaboration with landowners and local authorities.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure local filings and reporting requirements are met for authorities, banks, and other key stakeholders.Contractual Oversight: Keep local contracts up-to-date and compliant with current standards.Data Management: Manage master and transaction data for assigned projects.Legal and Regulatory Monitoring: Track relevant local laws and regulations impacting assigned projects.Financial Support: Work closely with the Financial Controlling and Accounting teams to ensure effective budget and financial reporting for assigned regions.COMMUNICATION PARTNERS & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY Key Communication Partners:Local or external asset management teams.Internal teams including investor relations, finance, and operations.External stakeholders such as local authorities, banks, and suppliers.Decision-Making Authority:Responsible for decisions related to local contract management and stakeholder relations.Ability to propose improvements for optimising commercial and regulatory asset management.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Education:Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.Professional Experience:3 to 5 years of experience in project management or a similar role.Previous experience managing renewable energy assets or solar projects is preferred.Skills & Competencies:Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to business challenges.Knowledge of company law and regulations pertaining to solar power plants is an advantage.Solid understanding of financial and business management principles.Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken.KEY SKILLSStrong organisational skills and attention to detail.Adaptable, dynamic, and capable of working independently.Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.Skilled at balancing stakeholder expectations while adhering to deadlines and budgets.
