General Description:
The League of Conservation Voters, Inc. ("LCV"), a non-profit organization, builds political power to protect people and the planet. For more than 50 years, LCV has fought for solutions to the interconnected threats our environment and democracy face. We do so by working with and holding elected officials accountable, mobilizing, organizing, and building grassroots power in communities, electing candidates who share our values, and partnering with and supporting our 30+ state affiliates across the country.
Chispa, a program of LCV, works to ensure that Latine communities and leaders have a strong voice in the movement for climate justice and within the environmental movement and influence the environmental policies and decisions that impact our health and environment. Chispa has programs in Arizona, Colorado, Maryland, Nevada and Texas.
