We’re expanding our carbon project pipeline across Africa and are hiring a Carbon Market Business Development professional based in Nairobi, Kenya.

This role focuses on carbon project sourcing, carbon credit pipeline development, and stakeholder engagement across renewable energy, clean cooking, waste, and sustainability sectors. The position involves working across voluntary carbon markets and Article 6 mechanisms. If you are comfortable with field-driven work and travel, we’d like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Source and onboard carbon credit projects across Africa

Engage developers, NGOs, and government / ministry stakeholders

Conduct early feasibility screening and gather project data

Support project development and registration (Verra, Gold Standard, Article 6)

Build and manage carbon credit supply pipeline

Support early commercial and offtake discussions

Monetary voluntary carbon market and Article 6 developments

Candidate Profile

3–5 years’ experience in carbon markets, sustainability, renewable energy, ESG, or climate finance

Strong business development and stakeholder engagement skills

Based in or willing to relocate to Nairobi

Fluent in English; Swahili preferred

Willing to travel across Africa

Self-driven and able to work independently
