Job Description

DBM Vircon is seeking a Business Development Manager focused on the industrial construction market. The role involves developing sales strategies, building client relationships, and collaborating with teams to promote DBM Vircon's services. Candidates should have at least ten years of experience in construction or engineering and three years in sales. The position is remote, allowing for flexibility in location.

The Business Development Manager is a sales role focused on the industrial construction and maintenance market. The role will focus on business development, client relationship building and understanding market needs for our core modeling, detailing services and digital engineering services. The role will collaborate closely with our technical SME team, estimating team and work with the other segments of DBM Vircon to leverage DBM Vircon’s integrated methodology.

The role will focus on creating and developing key client accounts and building trusted relationships, through a solutions sales approach. Considering DBM Vircon’s services and market position, this will require a level of technical and industry understanding, to build value for our clients.

Core Responsibilities:
• Develop sales strategy and execution plans for identifying and building relationships with new customers, promoting the DBM Vircon suite of services to those customers, and identifying and winning new project opportunities with those customers.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with existing clients to promote the brand and continue to earn repeat business, and to expand the relationships by promoting the broader suite of DBM Vircon services.
• Collaborate with sales team, EVP North America and EVP Growth and Strategy to develop and implement effective growth strategies and processes.
• Coordinate with other sales team members throughout North America to promote the full suite of DBM Vircon services to the industrial market in North America.
• Timely and accurate input of sales opportunities and activities into Salesforce, and ongoing maintenance of CRM data to ensure it remains up to date and accurate.
• Create, lead and participate in key account planning to achieve sales targets/metrics (e.g. sales wins, pipeline growth, sales activities, etc.)
• Focus on immediate needs while also not losing sight of long-term strategies.
• Create a safe and positive work environment by continuously communicating and resolving issues.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
• Minimum of ten (10) years total related experience in construction, engineering, or steel fabrication/ erection. Minimum of three (3) years sales/marketing experience.
• Experience with using Salesforce is preferred.
