Launch Your Career in Sustainability

Are you passionate about climate justice, healthy buildings, and making a difference on your campus? As a BIT Practitioner, you'll join a select group of 25 students receiving specialized training, mentorship, and paid fellowships to advance sustainability in your community.

At each campus, a team of five BIT Practitioners will lead the charge to make their buildings and communities healthier, more sustainable, and more resilient. Each team member plays a unique and vital role:

You capture the journey, preserving the legacy, amplifying the work, and ensuring the story of progress is seen, heard, and remembered.

Energy Champion

You help buildings work smarter, not harder. Ideal for engineering, sustainability, architecture, or public policy interests.

Water Champion

You protect one of our most precious resources. Great fit for environmental science, biology, or public health.

Waste Champion

You turn trash into impact. Perfect for circular economy, business, or environmental justice interests.

Indoor Air Quality Champion

You make buildings healthier from the inside out. Great for health sciences, environmental health, or advocacy.

As a BIT Practitioner, you will:
• Earn a $20/hour stipend for your year-long fellowship.
• Earn your Green Professional (GPRO) Operations & Maintenance Essentials certificate.
• Build your resume and professional network in the green economy.

• Able to commit to both the Spring and Fall 2026 semesters.
• Curious about or already engaged in sustainability, climate justice, environmental health, or community engagement.
