Job Description

The Nevada Department of Wildlife is hiring a Biologist 1 - Fisheries in Fallon, NV. This role involves conducting fisheries and habitat management projects, data analysis, and public relations activities. Biologists conduct fisheries, wildlife and/or habitat management projects and research studies including data collection, analysis and interpretation; develop and implement project proposals and work plans; prepare recommendations; and participate in public relations activities. Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. This position within the Fisheries Division at Nevada Department of Wildlife is responsible for multiple sportfish waters in Churchill, Douglas, Carson, Mineral, and Lyon counties including the Carson and Walker Rivers (and associated tributaries).
