The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to have partnered with a leading, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy - providing best-in-class, integrated solutions to renewable energy Clients, worldwide. As part of their exciting expansion, they see a Battery Energy Storage Specialist join their UK Team. You will be instrumental in driving forward our battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. You will play a key role in a variety of projects, including grid-scale, hybrid, and off-grid installations, contributing to business development activities and providing technical expertise to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and delivery of grid-scale BESS projects, leveraging your significant experience and expertise in BESS technology.
• Contribute to Business Development activities, identifying opportunities and cultivating relationships within the renewable energy sector.
• Provide and review technical advice on option analysis reports, conceptual and detailed designs, the scope of works, cost estimates, cost modelling, and delivery plans for BESS projects.
• Collaborate with international teams to deliver a diverse range of projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
• In addition, stay abreast of relevant standards and regulations for BESS projects, ensuring compliance and adherence to best practices.
• Demonstrate knowledge of grid ancillary services and market drivers pertinent to BESS projects, driving innovation and optimization.
• Moreover, work independently on challenging large-scale projects, demonstrating a consistent record of successful project delivery.
• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, fostering collaborative relationships and ensuring project objectives are met.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Tertiary Engineering qualifications, preferably with a focus on renewable energy or electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience in an engineering environment, with significant exposure to BESS design and project delivery.
• Proven track record in grid-scale BESS project delivery, ideally gained within a consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of relevant standards and regulations governing BESS projects.
• Furthermore, knowledge of grid ancillary services and market dynamics driving BESS deployments.
• Additionally, familiarity with various battery technologies, including flow battery technologies.
• In addition, demonstrated business development skills and a network of industry contacts.
• Ability to work independently on challenging projects, with a consistent record of successful delivery.
• Lastly, excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
