Asst Manager /Manager/ AGM - Carbon Mumbai

Paradise Placement Consultancy is hiring an Assistant Manager/Manager/AGM for Carbon in Mumbai. The role involves managing climate change mitigation projects, supporting audits, coordinating project planning, and networking with stakeholders. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in climate change and project management, with knowledge of GHG standards and carbon projects. The position is full-time and based in Mumbai, India.
Responsibilities

and Attributes:
1. Implementation and management of climate change mitigation projects within the
framework of nature-based solutions (REDD+, Afforestation, Reforestation, Blue Carbon
and Soil Organic Carbon), community level project engagements as well as other project
types under the current standards such as VERRA and Gold Standard and upcoming
standards
2. Support and management of validation and verification audits and preparation of relevant
documentation and reports
3. Coordination of project planning, timelines, financing and reporting of a comprehensive
project portfolio
4. Support of the Marketing and Communications team in project information requests
5. Strategic portfolio planning in regard of volume and cost expectations
6. Management of origination activities of new project development opportunities
7. Interface between the project development and other supporting teams
8. Preparation and presentation of project opportunities in an investment committee
9. Proactive networking with relevant organizations, project owners and developers,
technology providers, industry associations, multilateral organizations, government
agencies, and others
10. Participation in relevant events and conferences in order to expand the existing project
partner network
Competencies
1. Knowledge of GHG emission reduction standards and methodologies
2. Ideally already have knowledge and experience in the area of carbon accounting or the
preparation of life cycle assessments
3. Knowledge of Carbon Projects like REDD+, Afforestation, Reforestation, Blue Carbon,
and Soil Organic Carbon is considered as advantage
4. Team player with strong communication and negotiation skills.
5. Cross border and International project experience will be an added advantage.
Experience and education
1. At least 2+ years of experience in the field of climate change, preferably with experience
in project management and development of CDM, VCS and Gold Standard projects and
methodologies
2. Experience in project implementation over the project lifecycle
3. Experience in project management
