Position Specific Description
• Position is responsible for (aides in) near-term natural gas asset optimization
• Works closely with various teams within EMT including Origination, Power Trading, Analytics and Scheduling
• Develop and maintain relationships with various market participants
• Daily due diligence for market knowledge
• Responsible for after-hours and weekend on call optimization responsibilities
• Ensure alignment and compliance with all relevant management systems and Risk guidelines

This job is responsible for transacting short-term energy or gas purchases/sales. Employees in this role develop, communicate, and execute trading strategies with guidance.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Monitors market conditions and analyzes transactions to help in identifying and executing energy trades
• Ensures transaction terms are beneficial to the organization and meet risk guidelines
• Optimizes economics to assure minimum energy supply costs and maximizes profits for generation portfolio
• Determines generation requirements and coordinates fuel procurement to meet obligations
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
