Position Overview

New Capital Partners is seeking to hire one to two investment professionals at the Senior Associate or Associate level, depending on experience. These are full-time, in-person roles based in our Birmingham, Alabama office.




These professionals will be involved across the investment lifecycle, with a particular emphasis on sourcing new investment opportunities, evaluating and diligencing prospective investments, and supporting transaction execution. In addition, the roles will work closely with portfolio company leadership teams and firm partners on strategic and operational initiatives designed to drive value creation post-close.




The ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience identifying and pursuing new investment opportunities, performing rigorous due diligence, and contributing meaningfully to investment decisions. Candidates should also have a genuine interest in working alongside management teams on operational and growth-oriented initiatives within portfolio companies. Prior portfolio operations experience is welcomed, but not required.




Key Responsibilities

Source and evaluate new investment opportunities through proactive outreach, relationship development, and market coverageLead or support due diligence efforts, including financial analysis, business diligence, market research, and management assessmentBuild financial models and conduct valuation analysis to assess investment attractivenessPrepare investment committee materials, internal memoranda, and presentations for firm leadership and investorsAssist in transaction execution, including coordination with management teams, advisors, lenders, and other stakeholdersSupport portfolio companies on strategic and operational initiatives, including growth planning, performance improvement, and key business projectsParticipate in activities related to raising investment funds and deploying capitalWork closely with senior leadership at New Capital Partners and portfolio companies on a broad range of investment and value creation initiatives


Qualifications

Relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, corporate development, or a related fieldDemonstrated experience sourcing investment opportunities and/or supporting business development efforts in an investing contextStrong experience conducting due diligence and evaluating businesses across financial, commercial, and strategic dimensionsExcellent financial modeling, valuation, analytical, and research skillsStrong business judgment and the ability to think critically and strategicallyGenuine interest in supporting operational and strategic initiatives within portfolio companiesStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management teams, advisors, investors, and colleaguesHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environmentUndergraduate degree required
