About this Role

The Associate will join the PRI’s Sustainable Financial System (SFS) team in London, reporting to the Head of the team. The role involves carrying out and supporting market-leading research and analysis, as well as project delivery and engagement with signatories and financial system participants to drive systemic change. The SFS team, embedded within the PRI’s Sustainable Systems Department, explores how investment practices, financial system actors, and market structures can either challenge or facilitate sustainable transitions. This position demands closely working with other PRI teams and stakeholders, contributing to the organization’s mission through innovative projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities
• Contribute to innovative research and analysis on market practices and structural barriers to sustainability.
• Support the identification of priority interventions and effective levers for change.
• Assist in delivering SFS team projects and cross-team work to implement financial system interventions.
• Prepare briefing notes, meeting summaries, presentations, and other internal materials.
• Support engagement with external stakeholders, including project management tasks.
• Work with PRI teams to disseminate work outputs through various channels.
• Stay updated on organizational and market developments and participate in team-building initiatives.

Requirements
• Understanding of PRI, investment practice, and issues related to sustainable financial markets.
• Experience in research, analysis, or policy, preferably in responsible investment.
• Project management experience with tight deadlines and conflicting priorities.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to build relationships and foster an inclusive working environment.
• Growth mindset with a capability for autonomous work.
• Essential IT/digital skills like Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and social media.
• Education in economics, finance, public policy, or sustainability is desirable.
• Eligibility to work in the UK, with availability for occasional work travel.
