Job Description

Green Key Resources is seeking a full-time Architectural Designer in Alabama. The role requires a Bachelor or Master of Architecture, proficiency in Revit, and strong design skills. Under limited direction, perform routine assignments and exercise professional judgment on details of work and adaptation of alternatives. For training and development purposes, this may include assignments of a higher level. Conduct oneself in accordance with the firm’s mission, vision, and values.Qualifications:Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture from an accredited program requiredArchitecture license not required for Project DesignerArchitecture license required for Project ArchitectProficiency with Revit and Microsoft OfficeCompetency with Bluebeam and Adobe Creative SuiteStrong design orientation, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills, including the ability to listen carefully and document conversationsAbility to simultaneously handle multiple projectsCreative problem-solving skillsExperience in designing and producing complete sets of construction documents for projects of varied size and complexityProficiency with architectural design and a clear understanding of interior and exterior detailing and contract document productionCompetent knowledge, understanding, and application of building codes, guidelines, and typical Client Facility StandardsKey Responsibilities:Under limited direction, lead a multi-disciplinary team including design, selection, coordination, architectural and interior detailing, and development of technical specificationsPrepare preliminary concept or design sketchesPerform analysis and review of applicable building codes, guidelines, and Client Facility StandardsIndependently prepare plans, elevations, schedules, wall sections, and details, and develop design documents within all project phasesCommunicate with other design disciplines to ensure coordination of engineering systems, equipment, and project documentsPrepare meeting documentation and actively participate in project team meetings, including post-meeting documentationLead project site documentation, including physical walk-throughs during designPerform contract administration tasks, including construction site meetings and punch listsSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionDesign and ProductionIndustriesArchitecture and Planning and Accessible Architecture and Design
