Invenergy LLC is hiring an Analyst in Finance and Capital Markets to support project finance transactions for renewable energy projects. Responsibilities include managing financial models, due diligence, and coordination with various teams and external partners. Candidates should have a relevant degree and experience in finance. The position is based in Chicago or New York City, indicating it is not a remote job.

Job Description

Position Overview

As an Analyst, Finance and Capital Markets, you will support all aspects of project finance transactions involving wind, solar, and battery storage technologies. Key responsibilities include creating and managing complex financial models, supporting the due diligence process, and coordination with external financing parties to support closing and funding of transactions. You will work closely with other Invenergy teams, including Development, Origination, Engineering, Project Management, Legal, and Asset Management, as well as external legal counsel and consultants. This position is located at either our Chicago headquarters or our New York City office.

Responsibilities
• Support project finance transactions, including construction debt, term debt, tax equity, and cash equity investments.
• Develop and manage financial models to analyze the economic merits and risks associated with wind, solar, and storage projects. Synthesize and communicate project economic summaries to senior management.
• Collaborate with project engineers, developers, originators, and accounting professionals to develop and refine appropriate assumptions for project models.
• Support due diligence and closing process for financing transactions including coordination with internal teams and external financial partners.
• Interpret and review terms in operating agreements, financing agreements, and power purchase agreements and communicate findings to management.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in finance, banking, consulting, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage or develop complex financing models in Excel.
• Familiarity with project or corporate finance transactions and documentation.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Skills
• Project finance, corporate finance, or M&A transaction experience, preferably in the renewables or energy sectors.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possesses self-starter qualities with the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize a number of concurrent tasks in a fast paced environment.
• MBA

Base Pay

$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 15%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.

In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance. Your recruiter can share more about bonus eligibility for this position during the hiring process.
