Job Description
The Advisor—Sustainability (Management Systems) supports Environmental, EA&SP Management Systems team by ensuring compliance with operational permitting requirements and obligation requirements with established internal and external processes.
This role ensures permit conditions, regulatory commitments, and reporting milestones are tracked, documented, and communicated across site teams and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies. The Advisor plays a critical role in maintaining permitting data systems, supporting regulatory reporting, and ensuring the operation remains compliant with internal and external obligations and assurance processes.
• Full‑time Monday – 7 am to 4 pm, Friday Flex Schedule
• Environmental, EA&SP Reporting to Superintendent
- Management Systems
• Maintain and track operational permit obligations associated with mining activities.
• Monitor permit conditions and compliance milestones to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
• Support the preparation and submission of regulatory reports and permit documentation.
• Assist with permit amendments, renewals, and regulatory applications as required.
• Ensure accurate documentation of regulatory commitments and approval conditions.
Data Management & Reporting
• Maintain permitting records and compliance tracking within data management systems, including the INX / In Form Suite .
• Collect, organize, and collate data to support internal and external assurance process, reporting, and regulatory submissions, as needed.
• Support preparation of compliance reports, dashboards, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all related documentation is maintained in accordance with company governance and audit requirements.
Stakeholder Coordination
• Coordinate with site teams including Environmental, Operations, Engineering, and Closure Planning to track permit requirements and upcoming milestones.
• Support communication with external stakeholders including government regulators and agencies.
• Assist in preparing documentation for inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews.
• Maintain organized records of permits, approvals, and supporting documentation.
• Develop and maintain permitting trackers and documentation procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve permitting workflows, documentation, and data management practices.
Qualifications
• Administrative experience with technical report writing is a must (3+ years preferred)
• Experience supporting environmental permitting or regulatory compliance, ideally within mining, heavy industry, or resources preferred.
• Experience working with environmental data management systems
• Strong documentation, organization, and data management skills.
• Ability to coordinate across operational teams and external stakeholders
• Degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resources, Mining, or related field, or equivalent experience highly regarded
