Job Description
Blue Signal is hiring a Residential Lighting Designer in Heesch, Netherlands. The role involves creating lighting specifications and layouts for residential projects, developing conceptual designs, and ensuring projects meet deadlines and budgets. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in lighting design, a relevant degree, and proficiency in software like AutoCAD. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential. This is a full-time, onsite position.
Blue-Signal is a top retailer in the residential lighting industry, serving luxury residential and hospitality verticals. We're seeking a skilled Residential Lighting Designer to join our design team, creating lighting specifications and layouts for residential projects.
The ideal candidate will develop conceptual lighting designs, produce sketches, renderings, and models to convey design concepts, while leading various residential lighting projects with strict deadlines. This role offers the opportunity to make an impact on a fast-growing company and be part of a close-knit team that's leading design in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Design custom architectural details, fixtures, and lighting control systems
• Calculate lighting levels and layout fixtures for traditional spaces
• Create and plan lighting specifications and drawings using software tools like AutoCAD
• Support team in creating product and design presentations and presenting to stakeholders
• Work closely with sales team to provide excellent lighting design services to clients
• Ensure lighting projects are completed on time, within budget, and with proper documentation
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in residential lighting/lighting control system design
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Engineering, Lighting Design, or related discipline
• Ability to use software tools to produce architectural drawings, such as AutoCAD
• Demonstrated experience creating lighting plans/schedules/specifications
• In-depth understanding of industry trends and protocols
• Working knowledge of lighting calculation software like AGI32, Dialux, or similar (a plus)
