Description

We seek a Full-Time Civil Engineering Assistant Project Manager in our Omaha office. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can communicate effectively with team members, public officials, and clients. This individual will have a proven track record of civil engineering expertise for projects. Additionally, this candidate will:

Partner with an experienced Project Manager to lead a civil engineering design team with a focus on both residential and commercial land development projectsOversee the production of design plans and specifications for grading, erosion control, stormwater management, sanitary sewers, water mains and private roadwaysReview civil engineering design calculations, drainage reports, and cost estimatesManage team, including team assignments, mentoring, and quality controlAid in team mentoring, day-to-day coaching, performance managementDevelop relationships with existing developers and local public agencies and be a contributor to the creation of proposals

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an EAC/ABET, CEAB-accredited engineering program, or program that meets the NCEES Engineering Education Standard Registered Professional Civil Engineer LicenseTen years of progressively responsible engineering experienceDemonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or project management softwareExperience with general civil design of grading, storm, paving and utilities, hydrologic and hydraulic computations, computer modeling and presentation of resultsDemonstrated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Fifteen years of progressively responsible engineering experienceRegistered Professional Civil Engineer License in the State of NebraskaTeam management experience, including leading, mentoring, and coachingDemonstrated project management experienceKnowledge of the Omaha Regional Design Manual and PERMIXDemonstrated knowledge of Sanitary and Improvement District (S&ID) financing mechanism, Public Improvement Plan layouts, design, processes and procedures, and subdivision developments and site planning
