About the event

Join us for an expert session with Karolina Wilberg, Policy Officer at the European Commission’s Directorate General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO).

She leads the Commission’s work on integrating environmental sustainability into humanitarian operations and addressing the systemic risks posed by climate change in crisis contexts.

With over nine years of experience in EU environmental policy, she will share how DG ECHO is operationalizing climate-smart principles within humanitarian aid, aligning policy with on-the-ground impact in fragile and conflict-affected regions.
