Zero Waste Coordinators – Freedom Mortgage Pavilion

Live Nation Entertainment is hiring Zero Waste Coordinators for the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Winnipeg, MB. Responsibilities include managing waste post-events, educating attendees on sustainability, and participating in training programs. Candidates should be physically active, enthusiastic about environmental impact, and able to work collaboratively. Experience in events, particularly zero-waste initiatives, is preferred. This is a full-time position with no degree required.
Role Responsibilities
• Support post-event waste management by sorting recyclable, compostable, and landfill materials.
• Act as a sustainability ambassador by educating and motivating Band Members to contribute to the venue’s environmental goals.
• Interact with fans to promote and encourage participation in sustainability initiatives through educational engagement or interactive activities.
• Take part in Zero Waste training programs to enhance awareness and effectiveness.

What We’re Looking For
• Ability to spend approximately 90% of the shift on your feet, including walking, bending, reaching, and lifting/carrying items over 50 lbs, with about 65% of that time focused on sorting.
• Genuine enthusiasm to be part of a mission that makes an immediate and meaningful impact.
• Team-oriented attitude and the ability to collaborate with other departments.
• Prior experience in events, especially zero-waste events, is a plus.
• A positive outlook and willingness to contribute creatively.
• Problem-solving mindset with a passion for teamwork and successful program execution.
