McDougall Energy Inc. is hiring a Yard Support Lead Hand in St. Marys, ON. This role involves customer service, administrative support, and yard operations, including handling propane refills and facility maintenance. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, a valid driver's license, and a safety-conscious attitude. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, reporting to the Operations Manager.

About The Opportunity
McDougall Energy is looking to fill an Office Administration - Yard Support Hybrid role at our St. Mary's operation.
This position includes customer service and provides support with service and yard operations. We will require the successful candidate to work Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and reports to the Operations Manager. This position is responsible for:
• Provide excellent front line customer service for lubricants and propane refill walk-in traffic.
• Ensure all customer enquiries are addressed and handled professionally, leaving the customer with a positive resolution both in person and on the telephone.
• Receive and process customer product delivery requests. Communicate with staff, helping, as required, for delivery success.
• Ongoing account maintenance activities and other supporting documentation.
• Assist in billing and pricing activities related to current customer accounts with office staff.
• Filing and other administrative assigned tasks and duties necessary to support branch operations.
• Perform customer service functions, including overseeing the propane cylinder filling functions.
• Responsible for inspection and recertification of tanks.
• Facility maintenance, including grass cutting, yard sweeping, salting and snow removal.
• Rinsing returned fuel tanks and removing pumps and fittings.
• Assisting with branch inventory and presentation, including stock placement.
• Running errands and making local deliveries, where needed.
• Unloading and putting away tanks and other equipment and resources.
• Retrieving tanks and other materials and delivery to the service area for prep.
• Assisting the service department with inventory, equipment preparation, etc. as needed.
• Daily, Weekly and Monthly facility inspections, as required
• Assist with offsite elements when needed (i.e. rail car inspections).
• Performing other duties as assigned in support of branch operations.
ABOUT YOU: The ideal candidate will have:
• Valid, clean and current driver’s license.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills; reliable, hardworking and dedicated.
• A professional manner and possess a positive attitude with an emphasis on personal responsibility.
• A safety conscious attitude, willingness to participate in all required training programs such as the handling of hazardous products, TSSA regulated certifications.
• Experience with lift trucks, tractors and other equipment would be preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• A DZ license would be considered a benefit but is not required.
• The successful candidate will be physically fit, able to lift heavy objects on a regular basis (i.e., cylinders and lubricant products).
• A willingness to learn to operate a forklift is required for occasional customer service support.
