Mortenson is seeking a Wind Heavy Equipment Operator for the Lundgren Repower Wind Project in Fort Dodge, IA. The role involves operating various heavy equipment, adhering to safety regulations, and performing routine maintenance. Candidates should have teamwork orientation, strong communication skills, and at least one year of related experience with necessary equipment certifications. This is a full-time position with no visa sponsorship offered.

Project Location: Fort Dodge, IA, 50501

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF POSITION
Operates equipment as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures.

-Performance should meet or exceed the established standards, goals, and accountabilities of the position

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
-Operates the following equipment based on the requirements of the project:
1. Blade
2. Dozer
3. Loader
4. Scraper
5. Forklift/Telehandler
6. Crane
7. Bobcat/Skid-steer
8. Boom Lifts/Aerial Lifts
9. Roller
-Follows prescribed safety regulations
-Ensure that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
-Performs routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling and cleaning
-Observes equipment operation to detect machine malfunction
-Follows work plans and pre-task cards
-Other duties and responsibilities

-Ability to move levers, shift gears, depress pedals and maneuver steering wheel to operator equipment

-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, procedure manuals, and load charts

-Ability to work independently
-Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
-Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs
-Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with assistance of another team member or equipment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
